Information Circular No 19/2017: D PER Proposal on Terms of Extension of the Lansdowne Road Agreement – Pay

Following talks facilitated by the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), D PER has made the following pay proposal to PDFORRA members as part of a proposed three year public service pay agreement, which will be an extension to the Lansdowne Rd Agreement and called the Public Service Stability Agreement 2018 – 2020.

2018

  • 1 January 2018 – annualised salaries to increase by 1%
  • 1 October 2018 – annualised salaries to increase by 1%

2019

  • 1 January 2019 – annualised salaries up to €30,000 to increase by 1%
  • 1 September 2019 – annualised salaries to increase by 1.75%

2020

  • 1 January 2020 – annualised salaries up to €32,000 to increase by 0.5%
  • 1 October 2020 – annualised salaries to increase by 2%

 

Pension Related Deduction

It is proposed that the existing Pension Related Deduction (PRD) will be converted into a permanent Additional Superannuation Contribution (ASC) through pending legislative enactment.  Accordingly, PRD may be reduced in very limited circumstances to the benefit of some members.  Information Circular 20/2017 outlines the additional pension contribution proposal in some detail.

 

Outstanding Adjudications

In relation to Outstanding Adjudications the Agreement provides that “the parties commit to entering into a process to conclude by end – September 2018 which will involve engagement in relation to an appropriate, time-bound process for addressing any outstanding adjudications, having due regard to the question of their continued validity and cost implications”.
